Meet Our Artist

Meet Dana Nielsen, the artistic vision behind HART. Dana is a talented general surgeon, originally from Alaska, and first met Chris as a medical student on the internal medicine wards. Chris first noticed Dana’s amazing skills sketched on a coffee cup, and over the month got to see more examples of her incredible anatomical drawings. When it came time to make eye catching, anatomically accurate images for the hospice criteria, Dana was the first and only choice. You can see larger examples of her work below.
